Facebook Stories are a great way to share your day-to-day experiences with friends, family, and followers. With Stories, you can share photo and video montages, as well as text updates, all in one place. You can even add filters, stickers, and other creative effects to make your stories more fun and engaging. The user-generated video and photo montage can be viewed twice and removed after 24 hours.
Users can add Snapchat-like lenses and creative filters to their content, as well as visual geotags, using the in-app camera on Facebook. With lots of opportunities to advertise your business to new audiences and de-prioritization of organic reach, now is the time to harness Facebook Stories as a powerful branding and marketing tool for your business. This feature could be the key to more interactions and followers.
Can you view someone’s Facebook story without them knowing?
There are four ways to view someone’s Story without them knowing. These include: Half swiping, viewing in Airplane Mode, blocking them, and deactivating your Facebook account.
1. Half Swiping
This means quitting watching a story halfway through, which is a killjoy because you won’t see the entire story. To do this;
- Launch the app. Select any story you want to view.
- Put your finger on the story before it comes to an end.
- Swipe right or left to ensure the story doesn’t come to an end. Facebook doesn’t register you as a viewer.
2. Viewing in Airplane Mode
Turning on Airplane mode disconnects you from the internet unless you are using Wi-Fi. Facebook recognizes your account as Offline when you use Facebook in Airplane mode (assuming you are not using Wi-Fi). Hence, when you view a story, Facebook doesn’t register you as a viewer.
However, you have to force close the app to prevent it from running in the background once you disable Airplane Mode. Some stories might also not load when you’re in Airplane Mode.
3. Deactivating your account
You should use this method as the last resort. Here’s how to do it:
- Log into your account. Then, select the story you want to view.
- Tap the hamburger menu. Go to Settings & Privacy > tap the Privacy Shortcuts option.
- Click Delete Your Account > Click Deactivate account.
While this is an extreme take, it maintains your anonymity. You can then reactivate your account after 24 hours to prevent your name from appearing on the viewers’ list.
4. Blocking them
Blocking the user allows you to view the entire story on their Facebook Stories anonymously. However, this method completely removes the user from your friends’ list until you unblock them. Here’s how to do it:
- Log into your Facebook account and proceed to the story you want to view.
- Watch until the end then block the user. Unblock them after the story disappears, or 24 hours.
Can you see who views your Facebook story?
Yes, you can see who views your Facebook story. Tap Your Story in the Stories area at the top of your Feed. To view who has viewed your story, tap the bottom left corner of any video or photo in your story. If you don’t see this, no one has seen it yet, or they have used the above-mentioned methods.
What is the point of Facebook Stories?
In the long term, Facebook Stories may be the most effective method for companies to increase interaction, develop brand recognition, and strengthen their connection with their customers.
This has a lot to do with its location on the platform. Facebook Stories are different from regular Facebook posts in that they appear right at the top of the Facebook app rather than on people’s feeds. This is an excellent advertising space for businesses wanting to catch consumers’ attention.
While the use of Facebook Stories is on the rise among users, it is still low enough that you may distinguish yourself from rivals and expand your organic reach. Furthermore, you can cross-post your Instagram Stories to Facebook, making it simple to share stories across both platforms.
How do you use Facebook Stories?
Facebook Stories are a good way to show people what your company is really like. You can use them to show people what happens behind the scenes. There are two ways to post Facebook Stories about your company. You can do it the regular way, which is free, or you can pay to sponsor the post.
Stories are a way to be informal with your customers. People don’t usually expect a lot of design in Stories. In fact, according to Google, about half of customers want Stories that are brief and easy to understand. Thus, Facebook Stories are a great place to find new business ideas. Half of all Facebook users want to try new things, and 46% want you to share your ideas and suggestions.

You can change this by limiting the viewership to your friends only.
Can you see how many times someone looks at your story?
