The Apple iPhone 13 Pro stands out as one of the best iPhones on the market. Its predecessor, the iPhone 12 Pro, set a high standard, and the iPhone 13 Pro continues to impress. With the introduction of the iPhone 14 Pro on the horizon, it’s clear that Apple’s dedication to innovation doesn’t waver.

Apple calls for attention with its remarkable lineup, including the Apple iPhone 13 Pro. Alongside the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, these devices showcase the culmination of Apple’s advancements since the iPhone 11.

For those seeking insights, a Pro Max review offers a detailed perspective on one of the best iPhones available.

The Apple iPhone continues to amaze tech enthusiasts with its groundbreaking innovations. The latest additions to the lineup, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, have captured the market’s attention with their remarkable features. Among them, the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max stand out as the best iPhone 13 options, boasting a stunning 1 TB storage capacity for users with extensive multimedia needs.

The iPhone 13 Pro may seem similar to its predecessor, but it brings several notable improvements under the hood.

iPhone 13 Pro resembles the iPhone 12 Pro with exceptions: larger camera bump and reduced notch. Noticeable lens protrusion.

Notably, the smaller notch is significant—around 20% less than what we’re familiar with. Noticeable when compared to the iPhone 12 Pro.

A smaller notch is progress, yet I find it unattractive. Face ID focus means the notch persists, awaiting under-display TrueDepth.

Notably, the iPhone 13 Pro lacks Touch ID. Apple explored in-display fingerprint tech, crucial during the mask-wearing COVID era.

iPhone 13 Pro feels substantial due to its stainless-steel frame. Heavier than listed 7.19 ounces. Brief use led to wrist fatigue compared to my daily iPhone 12 Pro.

iPhone 13 Pro’s design maintains familiarity, offering iterative upgrades, and prioritizing display and camera advancements over innovation.

iPhone 13 Pro features a 6.1-inch OLED panel like before, housing abundant pixels. Apple’s Super Retina XDR shines, with vibrant colors, contrast, and excellent angles.

iPhone 13 Pro excels, be it anime Genshin Impact or Blade Runner 2049’s vivid scenes. Vibrant colors captivate, and even neon retro wave visuals impress.

iPhone 13 matches its predecessor’s color, Delta-E score. Notably, lab-measured max brightness: an astonishingly bright 1,024 nits.

The highlight is 120Hz ProMotion on iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. Smooth, adaptive display shifts from 10Hz to 120Hz, enhancing user experience based on content and touch speed.

After 120Hz, returning to 60Hz is challenging. iPhone 13 Pro’s smoother display surpasses the 12 Pro. Side-by-side, ProMotion excels with clearer text, seamless animations, and a premium feel.

iPhone 13 Pro boasts triple 12MP rear cameras: 77mm telephoto, 3x optical zoom, f/1.5 main with a larger sensor.

A larger sensor and autofocus enhance 12MP 120-degree ultrawide. iPhone 13 Pro excels in low light, surpassing predecessors and rivals.

In the sign collection photo, the iPhone 13 Pro maintains color balance: vivid yet natural. Compared to Galaxy S21 Plus, the iPhone excels with sharper focus, and stronger contrast, avoiding sunlit washout.

In the trailer willow photo, the iPhone manages sunlight adeptly, well-lit, detailed, and deep. S21 Plus is dimmer, muted, and softer focus in typical Samsung style.

Among the iPhone 13 models, the iPhone 13 Pro shines with its exceptional camera capabilities, earning its reputation as the best camera-equipped iPhone.

When it comes to the best camera-equipped smartphones, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro is a standout choice. With its advanced camera technology and image processing capabilities, the iPhone 13 Pro is one of the top contenders in the market.

Additionally, Apple’s introduction of a 1 TB iPhone 13 Pro model caters to those seeking ample storage for their multimedia needs.

Overall, the iPhone 13 Pro is considered one of the best iPhones available, offering a combination of exceptional camera performance and impressive features.

The camera capabilities are truly remarkable, especially in the iPhone 13 Pro models, with their advanced camera systems rivaling even professional photography equipment. The best camera experience is found in the 12 Pro Max, carrying forward its legacy as a photography powerhouse.

With improved night mode, computational photography, and AI enhancements, Apple once again raises the bar for mobile photography.

Whether you’re drawn to the ample storage of the 1tb iPhone or enticed by the camera prowess of the 13 Pro models, the iPhone 13 lineup undoubtedly reinforces Apple’s dominance in the smartphone arena.

iPhone 13 Pro features Photographic Styles — dynamic presets for real-time artistic lighting and color balance. Vibrant, High Contrast modes enrich photography, applying instantly to front and rear cameras. Previews and customization are available.

iPhone excels in video recording. iPhone 13 Pro introduces Cinematic Mode, more than portrait video. Professional, artistic—bokeh, subject tracking.

Example: detects subject entry, shifts focus. If the subject looks back, the focus shifts to gaze. Records 1080p at 30 fps. Cinematic Mode showcases A15 Bionic Neural Engine, though average users might use it less.

Traditional video? iPhone 13 Pro: Dolby Vision HDR up to 4K 60 fps, ProRes format. Pro editing, iPhone processing. ProRes 4K 30 fps: 256GB, 512GB, 1TB models. 128GB: 1080p 30 fps ProRes.

iPhone 13 series debuts A15 Bionic SoC, 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU (Pro models) and enhanced Neural Engine. With 6GB RAM, the iPhone 13 Pro excels, surpassing Android’s Snapdragon 888.

Don’t underrate the iPhone 13 Pro’s graphics. A15 Bionic GPU is 50% faster than the competition, likely Snapdragon 888. Gaming experience solid, intensive titles like Genshin Impact and Asphalt 9 are impressive.

Compared with the iPhone 12 Pro shows A15’s generational leap, surpassing A14, Snapdragon 888 (Galaxy S21 Plus). A15 dominance in Android, despite synthetic benchmark disparities.

Using Adobe Premiere Rush, phones transcode 4K to 1080p. iPhone 12 Pro: 27s, Galaxy S21 Plus: 1min. iPhone 13 Pro: 26s. Minor A15 gains extend Apple’s Qualcomm lead.

3DMark’s Wild Life benchmarks had, original and Extreme. Many challenges, including iPhone 13 Pro. The actual test shows significant A15 improvement over A14 and Galaxy S21 Plus.

In short, the iPhone 13 Pro, along with the iPhone 13 Pro Max, is the most powerful. Android’s devices have strengths but lag Apple’s chip prowess.

Apple improved 5G in iPhone 13, building on iPhone 12 progress. iPhone 13 Pro has extended 5G bands and wider carrier compatibility. Smart Data Mode returns, conserving battery by switching to LTE when 5G is not necessary.

Charging and battery life

iPhone 13 Pro battery capacity was undisclosed. Teardowns may be revealed, but Apple confirms larger batteries in 2023 models.

The iPhone 13 Pro battery significantly improves endurance, exceeding its predecessor by nearly 3 hours, and Galaxy S21 Plus by over 2 hours, totaling 12 hours and 18 minutes. Prior iPhone lasted 9 hours 6 minutes; Galaxy S21 Plus lasted 9 hours 41 minutes.

iPhone 13 Pro’s strong battery life is enticing for upgraders. Despite adaptive display and 5G, it excels. Notably, it outperforms the iPhone 12 Pro and Galaxy S21 Plus.

Regrettably, the iPhone 13 Pro lacks swift charging. Maxes at 20W wired, 15W MagSafe. Compared to OnePlus 9 Pro’s 65W cable, 50W wireless, and Xiaomi’s 120W, Apple’s slower speeds are disappointing. In testing, the iPhone 12 Pro only reached 53% in 30 minutes.

iPhone 13 Pro retains Lightning, not USB-C like iPads. Box lacks a charger, continuing the iPhone 12 trend.

iPhone 13 Pro comes with iOS 15. We extensively covered the iOS 15 beta with notifications, Live Text, Focus, FaceTime enhancements, and core app improvements. Explore our iOS 15 coverage, review, and iOS 15.2 update insights.

iPhone 13 lacks exclusive features beyond the camera. iOS 15 shines on iPhone 13 Pro, with ProMotion and A15. New hardware optimally showcases the latest software.

Consider caution if pairing the iPhone 13 Pro with an Apple Watch due to unlock issues. For some users affected, acknowledged by Apple, the fix is possible.

Mid-March saw the iOS 15.4 release, the key for Face ID’s mask compatibility. Works smoothly on iPhone 12+. iPhone 13 Pro gains from this update. iOS 16 enhances Face ID to unlock iPhone 13 Pro Max in landscape mode.

iOS excels due to developer support and great apps. Stock up on top iPhone apps or discover the best apps for new users.

iPhone 13 pro problems

Common with new releases, iPhone 13 users face issues. Unlock problems with Apple Watch, fix incoming. Touch display responsiveness concerns, possibly iOS 15-related rather than iPhone 13-specific.

Regarding iPhone 13 Pros, complaints arise about lens switching without warning; the fix is incoming. ProMotion displays may not run 120Hz in some apps, to be addressed by Apple. Developers also need to optimize apps.

iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max lead phone choices. Smaller Pro suits are size-conscious. Notably improved battery life. Impressive camera capabilities.
